Updates
One of the motors had a bearing issue that prevented us from continuing level flights. These motors are nearly 10 years old, as we salvaged them from some old projects. We have procured new sets of motors, and some major upgrades are being performed on both design and hardware.
Another trial is planned soon (presumably by the end of August). Please stay tuned for further updates.
Technology Demonstrator - VTOL to Level Flight Transition Trials (Mid July 2023)
All the intended flight parameters met during the initial trial. A max velocity of 100 km/hr. (approx.) was achieved during level flight. Though (in the video) the drone vanished beyond our line of sight, we were able to retrieve it by ‘return home’ function and land it successfully. We have collected the GPS telemetry log to validate this trial.
